Lyme and fainting episodes

I had episodes of fainting after being diagnosed with Lyme disease. Could this be related?

Oh, sure. The first thing that comes to my mind is that Lyme disease may have affected your heart. Lyme disease can damage the nerves that control your heart and this can result in slowing of the heart rate, which can present with fainting episodes. You do not provide much of a history, but the least the doctors should have done is an ECG. I would make sure this is done. If your heart rate is low, then often the treatment is a temporary pacemaker. This means you need admission to a hospital. There are many other causes of fainting, but since you had lyme I would rule out the heart problem first. Good luck.
