Can acupuncture help my urinary incontinence?
Urinary incontinence has many causes and in all cases, is quite difficult to treat. Some therapists recommend acupuncture for this disorder. Unfortunately, studies show that acupuncture sucks as a treatment of urinary incontinence. Worse, acupuncture is not a one shot deal- you have to enroll for many sessions over many months. Each session can cost anywhere from $100-$300. Best advice, keep away from this BS therapy. It is a complete waste of money and time. The only people who benefit from this therapy are the people who offer it. For most patients, acupuncture offers minimal benefit.
